Stuffed Baguette with Cheese and Meat

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 300ml Milk
  • 100ml Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 4 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Level Tablespoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Yeast
  • 700g All-Purpose Flour

Filling:

  • 200g Mozzarella Cheese
  • 200g Ham
  • 300g Sautéed Ground Beef

Finishing Touch:

  • Egg Yolks

Instructions:

Start by pouring 300ml of warm milk into a bowl, add 100ml of oil, and a whole egg. Then, add 4 tablespoons of sugar, 1 level tablespoon of salt, and 10g of granulated yeast. Mix the ingredients well.

Gradually add the 700g of all-purpose flour until the dough reaches the right consistency. Let the dough rest, covered, for 15 minutes.

After the resting time, on a smooth surface, sprinkle a little flour and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to approximately 3mm thickness.

Place slices of mozzarella cheese with spacing between them. Add the ham and sautéed ground beef. Use a pastry cutter to separate each slice and roll each part like a “swiss roll.” Seal the ends of the pastry.

Place the baguettes on an oiled tray, keeping them spaced apart. Make a cut on the top of each baguette for a beautiful appearance. Brush egg yolk over each pastry and let them rest for 15 minutes.

Bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes and then bake at 180ºC for about 20 minutes until they turn golden brown. The visual and taste are incredible!
